Alaskan amber is not well known down here. When I started to look up the area you are collecting in I was surprised to find out about the extensive coal beds you have in that area. Amber is typically found in marls as in the Baltic or in sandstone as in the Dominican Republic or in lignite coal beds which may well be your source.Do they find big pieces as well?

That is a very nice size . Does it have a rind on it like some does?

Its the typical black leafy material until I grind that part off.
