I am an ameature to the world of lapidary. I grew up in Hawaii where I learned to do jewelry on the University equipment but that was a life time ago. Now I am starting all over again because I have a great connection "dear friend" who has been a serious rock hound all her life. I will be doing wire wrapping (sterling silver & 12/14k gold) w/ vintage jewelry pieces, carving and inlay. I work on a Foredom flex shaft and am currently working with Kunzite, Tourmaline, Onyx, Rose Quartz, Agates, Arkansas Quartz Crystals and raw gem quality Turqouise from the Kingman, AZ area. Here is a pic of a piece of turquoise I'm currently working on. Would love to soak up all your forums on lapidary and looking forward to making new frienda since I just moved to Northern California right below the Oregon border.

Thank you Jerry although I'm more of a expert on the metaphysical properties and carving wood but around here I did a couple of wraps and wow the response was amazing but that was more from the quality of the Isis Quartz I think.

Love that river!!! Fished with a friend of ours and we caught so many trout 2 yrs ago I got keep up sizing them. Die hard fisher woman here whose looking for a boat at present nc I'm 3 miles off the Klamath river and 20 minutes from Copco & Irongate Reservoirs. Thanks, I lived on the boarder of Rancho Cucamonga and Ontario for 25 yrs but moved north last winter and glad to find you all.
