Chrysocolla in quartz?
« on: January 26, 2018, 07:24:41 AM »

This was a gift from Orrum. It was an end cut.
It looks like chrysocolla, quartz, pryrite and some kind of black mineral. I will have to do a piece with more of the blue

Not Bonanza ore. It's my vein out in the BLM Desert northeast of Quartzsite, can't say very much but it's all mine!  Yaa hooo!!!   Took three years horseback to trace the float back to the vein during my winters here. I didn't have any big chunks to give Jhon but will send him some. It's selling pretty high at 14 to 16 dollars per slab at online Facebook auctions. It doesn't bleed red or black and takes a very good shine.

Thanks for posting a pic and cabbing it Jhon.
