Reminder about Spam
« on: November 15, 2023, 09:33:31 AM »

Just a reminder…

If you see spam posted here do the following:

1) Do not reply to it.  Don’t comment on it.  This just emboldens them because you are giving their content attention.  They cannot make money off their postings if you don’t pay any heed to them.

2) Report the posting.

Thank you.

Just a reminder folks.
Bots and spammers seem to have become active again.
We do our best to police everyone who asks to join the forum, but sometimes one gets through.

I live stream on Twitch and recently there has been an uptick in Bot bombings into the chat feds of many larger streamers.
Along with that I have noticed an uptick of spam/bot accounts signing up here as well.  Earlier yesterday I banned ten accounts that had signed up within the first part of the day.

Just a reminder, if one of these bots/spammers slips through our shields...
1) Do not click on any links they post.  You have no idea what malware, viruses, trojans and other crud you can get on your computer if you do.
2) Do NOT give them any personal information.
3) Report the posting.

Thank you!
