2 agates any ideas on locales?
« on: October 18, 2020, 03:01:36 PM »

Hi everyone.  Do these patterns and colors strike anyone's memory cords as to a location?  So many Agates have distinct patterns and colors that makes them a likely candidate for a locale.  Any suggestions?

Nice cabs but I don't have any idea of location. So many agates.

Thanks for the comments.  I got the rough slabs in the material from the realtor I mentioned a while back.  The majority of it's self collected was CA, NV, AZ, ID, OR, and WA with some Texas thrown in and then purchased material obviously.  The red Orange cab slabs were in with a lot of the petrified wood but not sold on it being wood.

The first one looks like candy rhyolite from Gemfield, Nevada.
