Hello Lapidary Forum
« on: December 08, 2017, 12:09:05 PM »

I just moved from Idaho, the gem state, to the DC area.
I was a member of the Idaho Gem Club, of Boise,
and the Owyhee Gem and Mineral Society, of Caldwell.
Wondering if anyone can tell me what clubs and organizations are in the DC area,
and what resources are available within 2 - 4 hours of DC,
and if there are other forum members in the area?

http://www.amfed.org/    American Federation of  Mineralogical Societies

And for local  Club / rock shops.   search  rock shops  /  rock clubs.  Rock  Societies.

  http://find.mapmuse.com/interest/rock-clubs

And you might just find member listings here.  I am on   I-5 in Oregon.

Hi and welcome.  I used to belong to both of those Idaho clubs long ago.  This is a list of gem and mineral clubs by state; scroll to the bottom:

Welcome to the forum from Northern Arizona!   :hello:

Can't help you on the clubs, but you should be able to find clubs on the lists posted.
