AZ Petrified Wood Canoe
« on: August 15, 2020, 04:17:33 PM »

The material I used was on the pastel tones this time.  Also the small abrasions on the bolsters is just from a paper towel used to dry, seems to happen more the higher the polish I put on the metal.  I might go back to a 2k brushed finish of strait tripoli with no rouge.

Very nice!  You're really cranking those canoes out, aren't you?

I think it is because I really like the size of the knife.  Enough to get a nice piece of stone sitting on it but not too big that it never gets used.  I still like the Texas Toothpicks but they are so small that you have to have some tight patterns for them to show well.

I was talking with Socalagatehound about a list of materials I was thinking for next blades.  Although I already roughed some extra scale sets of Blue lace, Cheetah agate, Banded crazy Lace and Tight small polyp Coral I told him next I want to try some Palm Fiber, Palm Root, Maybe even a plume Doublet but that might take some practice on a small knife and then I added a nice Citron Chrysoprase to the list.
