beach proposal stone
« on: December 06, 2015, 07:31:18 PM »

my brother popped the question to his girlfriend on the beach near Lincoln city.  It was mostly sand, but there were some stones.  This stone was found at the spot of the proposal, a simple piece of quartzite I think.  I made a few beads out of it for them.

You composed them very nicely and your cutting is always great. no quartzite is ordinary as they started with a rock that was weathered to sand , transported and then buried , metamorphosed and brought back to the surface where it has again begun the process of becoming sand. Awfully amazing process to me. A good metaphor for the circle of life and finding a partner is an incredibly wonderful part of our circle. Congratulations to them.

What a lovely story.  Your beads are really nice and they have a very cool memento of the occasion.   :icon_sunny:
