I'm no expert but it doesn't seem like the right color for coprolite; I'm used to seeing more iron oxide coloration in it (rusty red colors).

According to everyone and their mother, most coprolite specimens are poop imposters anyway...  Did you check it for corn?  :D

I think the best way to ID this would be to cut it open and view the inside.

This is murky territory. Iknow of no criteria for the coprolite id that would eliminate lots of lookalikes.
