Hidden Valley Owyhee jasper
« on: July 19, 2020, 10:25:43 PM »

Member of our club just gave me a big chunk.  I thought it was very kind of him since he didn’t want anything for it.  I made him a sphere anyway.  Pictured sphere 4 inches.

Never seen those colors in the jaspers up there.  Colors are very reminiscent of Wonderstone.  Beautiful sphere!

Learning new things early in the morning here.

Found several references to Hidden Valley Jasper online. I wouldn't have associated those colors with the Owyhees either.

This might explain a chunk of rough we got in an old collection. I thought it was just Wonderstone with less intricate patterns.

Thanks for posting it.
