the 80 grit diamond wheel i purchased used is done for, i need to know what 1.5 inch wide wheel in 80 grit diamond will last me the longest?

need 1-1/2x6/80 grit

my brother is going to buy it, but i want one that is going to last, with thick a grinding surface

The standard is diamond pacific. The longest lasting is always a sintered wheel but they are not as aggressive at the same grit and cost about 3 times as much.

I agree.  Diamond Pacific.  They last a long time.

Yep. Galaxy. I tried a couple of others, and either had balance problems or they just weren't as good as DP wheels.

So I go to the Diamond Pacific site and there is no mention of "sintered".  Where did I go wrong?

Didn't go wrong anywhere. DP doesn't sell sintered wheels.  Kingsley North carries a brand of sintered called Neosint.  They're on sale at the moment.     Don't know anything about them, though.  Inland sells them, too, but they're really expensive compared to the sale price at Kinglsey.  I'm sure you can find a mess of suppliers, but knowing whether they're good or not???
