Wet Angle Grinder Diamond Pad Kits
« on: October 20, 2021, 01:48:33 PM »

Hi All,
I just bought a new wet angle grinder so that i could work on some large projects such as my petrified wood slab coffee table.  I am a bit lost when it comes to the best pads and blades for sculpture type work using this baby.  The grits don't seem to go very fine. Anybody got any suggestions, experience?

Check this site out: https://www.defusco.com/

I buy saw blades from him, and have almost pulled the trigger on some of the grinder pads you're talking about.

I just don't have the wet grinder yet... .

The pads I have go up to 3,000 grit and then I have a buff pad that that is also diamond in rubber I se to finish rocks up.

If using an angle grinder make sure to use aluminum backers. The plastic ones are not designed for that high of an RPM and will fly apart.

Thanks for the inputs.  I am excited to get to work.  I really should hook up with the PNW sculptors group.  Maybe i can trade rocks for some lessons!
