BC Jade recurve pendant
« on: June 06, 2017, 06:09:04 PM »

I had alot of fun making the chrysoprase recurve pendant a couple weeks back and wanted to try the same style with some nice bc jade. I should have taken a pic of the jade preform I started with. It was incredibly dark green. It's really amazing how much it lightened up from carving. Pardon the luscious green background Lol I took these outside just about thirty minutes ago because I was getting some odd results from the indoor lighting we have setup here so opted for some sunny outdoors.(gotta change the bulbs!) Pics are frontlit, backlit and a side profile of the piece. Enjoy and happy cutting folks!

Very cool pendant! Love the beach stone bead too. The curve makes it seem unexpectedly delicate.

I feel the same, the curves give it a very fresh look.  You always expect the flat or at best positive surface.  Even in the photo's they beg to be held.
