I received a nice group of slabs from Gina for my cab contest win also, but work has been taking front-n-center lately.  The slabs sit on my bench with some preforms drawn out on them but I have had no time to work on anything since the beginning of June.   I'm doing a big money job, but its out of town.  I drive 75 miles each way every day and work 10-11 hours on site.  Makes for very long days and no time for rocks.  By the weekend I am bushed and get little else done but few honey-dos.  Project started 6 weeks ago and will most likely run through mid September.  The plus side is it is a prevailing wage job so I am making stupid money.  I will most likely make more money in these few months than I will make the rest of the year put together.  After this job is over and life returns to normal I'm sure I will gorge myself on some rock cutting.  And the slabs from Gina will be some of the first on the list.

 The stones are all appreciated , thanks. The Washington jasper looks very much like a type of chert that began as rhodonite and was metamorphosed most of the way to spessartine garnet. This transition is well recognized by geologists here.
