Belt buckle DONE
« on: January 23, 2015, 04:46:05 AM »

Received the finding and finished the buckle. I had a choice of turning it upside down (the way I saw it), making it a woman's belt (going backward) or glue the finding on kind of wrong for the slab. Being the manly man I made it a man's buckle with part of the finding showing and be damned with protocol.

Okay, so I have the belt buckle but no belt to put it on. Off to one store and they did not have any belts made for changeable buckles. Off to the expensive (cow person) store and woo hoo they have belts made for changing buckles. $40 my butt, I just want something to hold my pants up. OOHHH Here it is, a bull riders belt for ten bucks. Hell yea, I can be a bull rider so off I go with my ten dollar bull rider belt and a beautiful young lady really impressed with my rock skills. Well, she did not go with me, just impressed.

Here is the result and I am happy with it. Since I recently gained ten Oreo I had to suck it in pretty good to get the photo.

Not sure this matches the belt buckle but I am hoping it will change my karma, or get a laugh. Actually I am trying to prove my insanity.

My Guess is Mad River Agate and Dino bone?

I'm craving those cookies with peanut-butter cream in the middle, the outside has a crispy shell.   probably 2,000 calories a bite.

Y'all are killing me here!  I'm rolling in laughter reading the responses!

The belt buckle was a great idea!  Though I picture you as more of a solid black or solid brown kind of guy when it comes to belts.  That one seems a bit to flashy for you.

Helene, you may be correct on the agate (don't know where it came from) but the other is a local stone that is probably a mix of hematite and feldspar? ? ? Here is a better photo.

I was adding cords to a bunch of pendants and when I checked this one for size it stuck on my head so I thought a photo might be fun. I am not much into selfies so this surprised even me.

I will have some more finished pendants posted today. one has a wrap that needs a name because it is outside the wrapper which is outside the box, which is outside the shipping container.

I am sure they are available on line because I bought a toned down pair for when I get dressed up nice. These are size 11 women's because they did not have men's sizes and they are too small to wear with socks for very long. I hated it when I had to quit wearing them when it got cold.

What size?

I'm thinking they might kick you out of the professional bull riders association for wearing those crocs, belt be damned.

Oh, and you don't need to prove your insanity to us.  We already know.  :icon_tongue:
