My first Silver Setting
« on: August 30, 2014, 04:13:11 PM »

I just finished 14 hours of private metal smithing lessons yesterday.  I think I am hooked.  This is a super simple setting with one of my cabs, Mex Royal Velvet Obsidian.  Not perfect but definitely a piece I will wear and treasure forever!!!!!!  Bezel is fine silver, back is sterling.

Excellent, you are becoming an all-round expert.  :notworthy:

After the silver, you gotta get into carving eventually......  :icon_tongue:

Nice job, Krystee!  Now you have two obsessions!  LOL!  Good thing you can use one for the other.

You say a simple piece, but that's what makes it beautiful. It's stunning. You should be proud of that. Thanks for letting me see it.

It's beautiful!  Sometimes the simple settings accent the stone the best.  :)
