Another mushroom rhyolite

This is my first sphere.  It's a piece of mushroom rhyolite that comes from the same hill that BlueWood got his, but the pattern and colors are different.

Very nice sphere. Hard to imagine it is your first. The Mushroom Rhyolite is really well suited to the spherical finish.

Dang!  For a first sphere you set the "newbie bar" really high.  That is simply gorgeous and you are commended for a great effort and result.  I'd add that to my collection any day of the week for sure.

As suggested here is a progression pic, unfortunately lighting isn't great. The rock exterior is interesting. Looking forward to trying another.
