It is finished - well other than the earrings still sitting in the kiln cooling after the firing of the enamels.
The title of this piece is "Urban Riverwalk."
Materials are:
Agate
Cubic Zirconia
Czech Glass
Art Clay Silver
Fine silver wire
Silver filled wire
Silver filled jump rings
Enamels
The central Agate piece was spotted by Gina at the Flagg Gem and Mineral Show. I remember her calling it a "Kick Ass" stone.
I'm dedicating this piece to my Aunt, her favorite color is blue. Years ago I told her when she got better that we would go walk Monroe Avenue in Rochester together. Well now that will never happen since she is in hospice. So This is my stylized representation of downtown Rochester by the river.
I need to get better pictures for submitting the piece tomorrow. The entire necklace is reversible. The beads have a different design on the other side.

A true Queen of the Riverwalk:) I like how the desert is influencing your work:)

It's influencing it by giving me a relatively beautiful environment to work in. I'm in far less physical pain living down here!

Speaking of the desert, I have updated pictures, the ones I used for the physical submission. I photographed the piece on the boulders in my landscaping!

Great piece! The second set of pictures really set it off. Shows off the blues much better.
-
Thanks. I agree the second set is better. The initial set of pictures was the "I'm finished let's snap a few shots for the heck of it," set.
The second set I used for the actual submission.
I had a good laugh at my Husband today. He commented to me when I told him I had the piece done and submitted by noon today, "Wait a minute, you can't be done yet, it's not big enough. It doesn't cover your entire chest or have lot's of fringe. It cannot be submitted either as you aren't almost to the deadline yet."
He's such a smartass.

This is a pretty impressive peice :headbang: Hope you do well with it!! Now we just need a live model photo :)

Yeah hysterical right?
I'll see about getting a live model photo. I'm not photogenic and I doubt it would look to good on my Husband. :toothy12: :toothy10:  :laughing6:

The second set of pics really compliments the piece- you are so creative, well done!!!

Thanks Gina! Now to start work on the next piece - which is seed beads! I foresee lots of beading in my near future besides gardening! :icon_sunny:

Excellent and well deserved. It's a very nice piece. :glasses9:

Bronze, is that all? those judges must be as blind as Little Stevie Wonder, that's at least a Silver if not a Gold metal in my sight. Beautiful work :headbang:
-
Vibrant stones Amanda, and I love the slight asymmetrical slant with your bezel and of coarse the texture brings it home.

Thank you folks! I appreciate the kind words. :icon_sunny:
