Here is a maille butterfly I did a few years ago. The metal is anodized niobium (by far my favorite material for maille.. hypoallergenic, strong enough for jewelry, and easy to work with).

Right on! I have had the maille bug biting me lately... This is cute!

Awesome!
So nice to see someone finally posting in this forum section!
The only weave I have ever really done is Japanese four in one.
You totally rocked out the Byzantine weave here! The Butterfly is a cool concept! :icon_sunny:

Thanks Amanda! The Byzantine is definitely my favorite weave for doing jewelry and chains. Time consuming when you're working with 7/64" ID 20 gauge rings, but worth it. :-)
-
Would you be willing to do a tutorial on byzantine weave we can post in the tutorials area?
-
Sure! It might take me a week or three, but I'll get one up there. :-)

Awesome! Thanks for doing that! :headbang:
