My amethyst pendant project
« on: December 06, 2014, 07:41:38 PM »

Building the pendant today,  the cool bezel I made for it partially melted, then covered that part. Crimping the bezel, one of the tips broke off the crowns. Just about have up nearly wasting all efforts for the day. Then I just ended up bringing the bezel flat.
Now on to the amethyst bead necklace.

when i selected the bail, i seen the one with settings for stones so i picked that one.
I put her husband and two sons birthstones in it.
I like doing the bead strands, not a fan of the little pinch clamps. i dont have the proper crimping tool that keeps them round after crimping. i will be making one with some flat pliers, then making a proper crimping hole.

Got these real amethyst beads at the rock shop too.

It looks beautiful Randy!  You did a great job setting that stone despite the melting and breaking issues...

I know I'd wear it proudly!
