Emerging Bird cabochon ???
« on: November 04, 2018, 02:28:43 PM »

I like to think this resembles a hummingbird or a bird emerging from the water.. I have also seen a flying fish. Looks far more beautiful in hand. This is a piece of Deer Sky Jasper I mined in the Owyhee's. The cabochon is about 2 inches by 1 1/4.

I see the hummingbird (!) and I also see a sail fish.  That's a great cab!

Gorgeous cab, great framing for the natural pattern in the stone. Agree, bird or dolphin depending on orientation.

Almost looks like an elongated hummingbird emerging IMO. It’s awesome.
