Well,I might as well jump it too.....
« on: January 24, 2017, 08:40:26 AM »

Been a rock nut since 1962,but have been around wood forever too...Didn't get serious with it,till I got out of the Army....
I just knock around the small projects now,but it's enjoyment and pays my rockhounding bills...LOL

The wood frames are of all sizes and any type of wood...Liking working with old barn wood though...
The canes and walking sticks are fun to work with too....The one walking stick there is a Diamond Willow, with 31 diamonds on it,its mine and I am making it to fit my personality....
Made 20+ sticks and they sell or are given away.........

Got some willow coming up in an old raised garden. I'm hoping it's the diamond type. Guess I'll know in a year or 2, if I live that long.  :LOLOL:

I have pretty much missed everything on here for a while so I am trying to catch up a little.

Got some damn nice corners on the diamond willow frames. Can't just stick it in a miter box like dimensional stuff.

I have given up on having a personal stick. The last three just seemed to fit someone else better so I gave them away. Now I just grab one out of the herd and go with it. Easier to give them away if I have not become used to using just that one.

I love that branch wood frame.
I have a walking stick my uncle used on one of our gold prospecting trips, i may have to try this also and frame one of his photos i took of him sluicing some dirt lol

Uncle john passed away 6-8 months after this trip from a double stroke while under for neck surgery to remove a nymph node from his neck.
