I can log in/check in at any time when I try at my school.
But the system gives the prohibited info when I log in from home.

Any, known reasons?

I have a suspicion in our wide sweeping banning of Russian IP addresses we might have nailed a few that weren't Russia accidentally.  Make sure Randy has your home IP address so we can see what happened and take care of it.

We had a huge spammer influx that was driving Randy, Robin and myself bonkers, with most of the culprits coming from Russia.  We got all but one of them before they posted, but we were banning at least 4 a day most days for a while.  We finally had enough and we've been taking turns entering wide swaths of RIPE.net into the IP blocker on the server end.  Ripe.net of course serves most of Asia, India, Russia and the Middle East.  We have been attempting to block only those IP addresses linked to the areas of Russia that have been giving us the problems in these broad sweeping IP blocks.

If anyone is having trouble accessing the forums, please email us off the forum and let us know, or if you can log in from another computer, drop us a message here so we can fix the issue and get you back to rockin'.  We have been making every effort to make sure we didn't accidentally ban an actual member, but mistakes do happen.

If you go into his profile and click on "track user" you will see all the IP addresses he has logged in from along with the most recent.  He doesn't have a static IP, it varies every time he logs in by the looks of things.  However, there are IP addresses in there that look like the IP chains we have been working with.

Thanks for the info, Amanda.  I will look at the banned IPs and check Kurt's against it to see if I can fix it.  I have some time today (finally!).

I have had a problem too. It says code 404 when I try to log on to the iPhone internet. No problem with my internet and WiFi at home

Ok, I checked all of Kurt's and Jhon's IP addresses against the ban list and none of them are even close.  I'm at a loss.  Randy?

I checked all his IP addresses, nothing close to his is blocked.
If he is getting the 403 error, its not us or his machine. its DNS and his servers are refreshing also.

I had to call my ISP and let them know and next day it was back up

i also had to disable any web accelerators, update virus program and do a microsoft update.

I uninstalled an ad blocker, that may have been the oissue. I dont know

i too am currently getting the 403 error again.
I have asked support on the hosting if they have any idea.

I am getting in using a free online proxy server, so i know the forum is working. something is blocking all of us.

Also, as I type this I notice that the emoticons are not images, they are the printed word

I tried periodically to visit (had not been at school for the past 5 days).
Up until about 5 hours ago, no go. Now suddenly it seems to work.

There should be only 3 IP addresses on my profile. I dont use the computer anywhere else than home and school.
I rarely visit on the phone which would explain a multitude of IP's.

Works fine on any wifi that I use. I don’t know how to fix it
