Mexican Splotch agate
« on: August 09, 2014, 10:39:07 PM »

Have no clue whatsoever what i will do with this.
Not even sure how.

Jerrys rock n gems in kent said it was sold by their shop before glenn bought the place.

Bag marked Mexican Splotch agate, Seattle Center 1971
It broke in half when i chucked it in a clamp, so im going to hold off on doing anything with it for awhile.

It looks like a Mexican grape opal or some type of opal because the way it is formed. What color is it, hard to tell? Should be neat to see it after it is slabbed. I also reminds me of amethyst sage a bit. Eric.

Looks just like the Amethyst Sage I have, friend.
Cut it and see if it has cool dendritic areas, as some of mine has.
They are fun discoveries~!
