A little further along, ran out of daylight.
Have to figure out how to polish the botroidal area. I have some tips that are silicone type, one set blue and one pink.

This may be a stupid idea, but what about putting it in a tumbler starting at fine with lots of plastic pellets to keep it cushioned?

I don't know what I'm talking about, but that doesn't always keep me from talking.

Ive never used a tumbler, my friend left his here but i have no clue what to do.
the buffs i have are supposed to rub it down fairly fast to a polish leaving the bumps intact but shiny. same things used on fire opal.

I don't think you'll be happy with it once you start trying to buff the top out; I'd leave it.

" three hours more completed on the 600 and I am still unsatisfied with the back to polish it"
Well, that's about 2hrs and 45 min. longer than I would have the patience to put into it but I admire your persistence :headbang:!!!!!

OK you outdid me, I get nothing for my hounding, slabbing, and cabbing, except the satisfaction of seeing another neat rock :)
