Xmas spheres
« on: November 25, 2018, 04:56:52 PM »

I had the grandkids pick out a material for Christmas spheres a week ago,  with the long weekend I got some serious shop time in! I was surprised of the selection they made.
1. Black Obsidian the pattern is amazingly black!
2. Pinolith
3. Cobra/Script stone
4. Tree Agate
5. Rose Quartz
6. Chrysotile

I still have three more to go.

What they don't know is they picked out their own gift!

They're all beautiful.  The pinolith is really a looker, but that rose quartz glows.  Looks like it could have been star material.

Is this for their Christmas gifts? My children just tell me, I want this , can I have it?
Looks like what is left of the quartzite trip

They thought I needed suggestions for Christmas spheres, I told them to pick one they liked, and they did hit my Quartzite pile for sure!
I'll probably pick up another piece of the Pinolith again.

Lucky grandkids for sure!  Pinolith and script spheres are both really nice.  I also like that chrysotile for its lines and uniqueness; hope you were respiratored up as I believe that stuff kicks off friable asbestos.
