Agate nodule, found in collection
« on: September 15, 2022, 11:48:15 AM »

I am cross-posting this here to avoid hijacking the "Pictures in stone" thread where this was originally posted.

This round, fist-sized nodule was found in a rock pile with materials from several large estates bought in the 1980s. In other words, could be anything.

There was a small chip revealing tight, high-contrast red banding, so I decided to pick it up. It turned out wonderful, but I would like everyone's opinion on possible locality. Dryhead? Teepee Canyon? Chihuahua? Argentina?
