the two auctions i held here
« on: November 07, 2014, 01:54:22 PM »

I know two people that when they open the two FRSB's, that two fortunate people will be ALL SMILES.

When you get the boxes, know that i hand selected the FILLER rocks from my STASH.

There is of course ONE slab, plane jane stuff i am not sure what it is. Its a washington rock i got from the gold claim on Blewett pass.

Its speckled, kind of bland colors unless wet, red, green dots and some other swirls. I havent worked any of it, but i KNOW it will be nice, get it wet and look it over.
you two are my guinea pigs for that material, it will polish great too.

The rest of the slabs in the box are the surprises.

Have someone VIDEO record your faces when you are opening the packages please.
There is a couple slabs in there that ARE going to drop your jaws in disbelief -- Guaranteed.

THEN, post photos of all the slabs so everyone here knows to bid on auctions i hold here for my personal gain.
I dont value rocks like most people do, gram weight or by the pound.
They are just rocks.

I value friends over rocks. and since I took so long to mail them the OTHER slabs will MORE than make up for my laziness(lack of free time to do anything).

Robin and I were out all day, so we just read this post. Video? Heh - after reading this post the box might not make it in through the front door in one piece!

So, maybe no video, but we will definitely take some nice pics of the slabs to post up here.

Oh yeah, that Ice lady? She'll try anything - lapidary-related of course - and she always seems to make it look great.

Well, thank you!   But then again, that baby poop might take a REAL artist to make it work.   hehee...    Ok, not real baby poop (thank goodness!!!!!).    :icon_cheers:

Hi Phish.

I like the way you think. Robin frequently asks me why I'm spending time on "salvage" projects. Cutting the center out of that piece is just that sort of thing, but I like it when I can turn the sow's ear into the silk purse. Sometimes, though, I just wind up with something you couldn't even put into sausage... .
