Well Sara...
The new piece I am doing in place of this one is in blue - My Aunt's favorite color.  I had already started thinking of this design when I found out about my Aunt's health conditions.  So when I get this piece finished I'm dedicating it to my Aunt and to the walk down Monroe Avenue in Rochester NY that we will never get to do together.  Monroe Avenue is the road in Rochester that at least until more recently was lined with all manner of shops, some a bit risque and pornographic.  My Aunt and I at one time had decided that when she was better we'd take a walk down Monroe Avenue together and paint the town.  We both have a wild side and now and then you just have to let it out...

The new design features  Silver clay Lentil beads - large ones with a brick pattern that mimics the crackled effect in the agate pendant that hangs down, and then above that brick pattern an area of enamel to represent the river that runs through Rochester, and above it images of buildings sculpted in metal clay.  I'm going to mount Cubic Zirconia in various places to represent the Moon, stars, and the lights of the city.

Now I just have to finish it in time to have it submitted by January 31st!
