Lovely piece, very bold and a lot of character. I feel like there's a story behind this one...

One could say I channeled my inner dragon...

The symbol in the focal is representative of Long life.  Kwan Yin the goddess in the hanging pendant part, is the goddess of compassion.

I work with Carpal tunnel I've had for years.  I haven't gone to get it fixed yet because it only bothers me now if it gets to cold outside or I head North!

I really should get my carpal tunnel fixed but I just hate being cut, also now the hand docs want to put me out and I dislike that even more.
That is a really nice piece of art you made there, CONGRATULATIONS!

I hear you there!
I have trouble with anesthesia, as it gives me hell as I come out of it.  I've scared nurses enough times to know it's something to only go through with if I absolutely need to.

As for the artwork - THANKS!   :icon_sunny:
I'm a glutton for punishment since I am going to attempt entering both the next Metals competition for FMG and Bead Dreams.

When you win big like this do you sell the piece or frame it up and hang it on the wall?

I will probably attempt to sell it.  Since I currently don't work and could use the cash to finance my medical bills, the piece will go on my website once I have it back in my possession.  We've doled out over $5000 so far since May for my treatment with this one doctor that Insurance covers only a minute fraction of - and we're not done yet.

A super warm shop has essentially solved my carpal tunnel from cutting. I will ask Karen about the anesthesia problem , she may have some advice.

Thanks.  My anesthesia issue is inherited.  I now have a habit of warning all doctors who go to do surgery on me - beware, I have trouble coming out of the anesthesia!  I get sick, I throw up, I have breathing problems.  At least two doctors I saw back east who knew of the problem would give me something that would help me come out of it a bit better.  My Mother has some weird enzyme deficiency where she cannot have this one paralytic drug - I'm going to misspell it here badly I'm sure - Succynilcholine.  I was told by a doctor that it is Cholinesterase deficiency.  Apparently I was tested as a baby and my Parents were told that while I didn't have the problem itself, I was a carrier and to avoid having the stuff.  Both Parents have had problems coming out of anesthesia, so the fact I react badly isn't a huge shocker.
