Artfire Hack/Phishing Scam
« on: July 17, 2017, 09:29:58 AM »

For all of those folks with an Artfire Account..
It appears Artfire has either been hacked or one very intelligent phisher has gotten into their system.
I received a supposed "customer contact" this morning. Here is the contents of the message. It screams phishing scam or a hack attempt..

Quote
"Error in ordering
"Hello dear seller about week ago,I bought your stuff, but I still do not get this position in my account, although i have this transaction in my PayPal account.
I wrote message artfire client support, they recommend me to contact you attached a screenshots of my PayPaland artfire accounts.
Here are screenshots in zip-archive:
https://artfire-support.com/XXXXXXXXX
Please help me understand about the situation." — pertugireent1983"

Why do I know this is bogus?
No one has ordered anything from my store in over a year!
Also any attempts to contact actual Artfire Support are hindered by the fact their support system seems to be unable to connect. The other dead giveaway this is a scam is that the written English is so bad, it could only have been done by someone with English as a second language or using poor translation software. Also the URL in this message is wrong for Artfire and I have blacked out with X's part of the address so no one tries to click on it accidentally.
So if you get a similar message, DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY!
