McDermit Bubblegum
« on: July 27, 2017, 08:14:57 PM »

This is the bubblegum from the mercury mine near the Gary green. Kept it wet or oiled down for the entire process, I don't think there's a high mercury content or it wouldn't have been left behind, just never know.
4 1/4" unique color and nice pattern!

Risky rocks ? The listwanite ( mariposite ) that holds so much gold in Californis  is common in places here in Washington but no gold in ours. One huge listwanite deposit  is a mountain of it on a active fault near me and I got the geological report and found that it has mercury   in the very low percents which is still a lot.Makes you wonder what is in some of the other unusual rocks we cut. Always gret spheres from you.

Looks great. Are there brecciated areas solid? Or did you end up with
A lot of exposed fractures?
I have another piece of that in the saw now. I have
Got to find time to grind some more preforms.

It's a mix there are some really tight brecciated areas and then some narly areas.
