Not sure how this works but as a previous member I presume this will be my first entry with the new format? Glad to be able to be here and to relocate & connect with our Family Forum. If I may have a question concerning the reusing of rock saw oil?

I drained oil from a small slab saw and filtered it through several brown paper bags. The muck was removed, however the oil did not clear up. This has probably been covered somewhere on the Forum but not sure where to look? Any assistance, or suggestions with this matter would be appreciated. Thank you very much!  IV

Light Mineral Oil .... Looks to be an ultra fine dark suspension of matter left in fluid. Hope this helpss?

Since this is an issue of oil, which comes from cutting and grinding etc.  You could go here:

some minerals leave a permanent color in the oil. Psylomalene and laguna lace come to mind.  i'm sure there are others.
