Pendant or Broach not sure yet.
« on: August 02, 2017, 02:04:33 PM »

The 1st pic is what I am working on now 2 1/2" × 3" which is done in Poplar wood cut with a scroll saw then an SR Foredom and a RAM Micro Carver. On this piece I used Dr. Ph Martons water colors (Synchromatic transparent). To seal the piece I will use Decco Art Americana Triple thick brush on glaze or Mod Podge Dimensional magic with a soft long bristle paint brush. (to give the effect of being under glass). I also use Polycryllic clear which does not change the color of the wood as a general top coat.

I also use:
Food coloring water base or gel formula
Watercolor paint or dye,
Folk Art Ultra dye (which has acryllic in it but can be separated)
Rit all purpose liquid dye in the 8 0z bottle,
acrylic paint using the China Painting method,
acryllic paint watered down for transparency,
acryllic paint over linseed oil
Tempra paint
Artist chalk
Colored pencils and pens,
Liquid metal paints like gold, silver & copper
Metallic pens and even
melted crayons to fill in spots with color.

The 2nd pic is a VooDoo Iris with Modge Podge Dimensional Magic as a top coat with 14K gold gilding. It is 6 1/2 " x 7"

I'm moving this into the jewelry area where the jewelry folks will be able to give you some more input and enjoy viewing this gorgeous pin.  Thanks for sharing it!
