A few more cabs I've done this year (lots of pics)
« on: September 28, 2017, 05:59:32 PM »

Here are some recent cabs.

Chrysocolla with malachite in clear quartz. From a thin slab I picked up at Quartzsite.

Two from the Singleton Ranch. The green plume was collected in 2015 and the burgundy moss in 2016.

Succor Creek picture jasper. From another Quartzsite find. I've collected at Succor Creek, but the volcano was too compelling to pass up.

Moroccan Seam Agate.  The orange just jumps at you.

Australian Dendritic Opalite. I loved the variety of greens Glenn at Australian Outback Mining had this past year at the Q.

Burro Creek Purple Jasper.

Luna agate.  From an old slab I bought some years ago.

Blue Mountain Picture Jasper. From a chunk of rough I got from Kop and Cindy a few years ago.

A complex cab of copper materials. Malachite, chrysocolla, cuprite, shattuckite or azurite, all in quartz. From a very recent purchase of rough from Jeff at Barnhouse Lapidary

Stunning as always Craig.  I agree that it is hard to pick a favorite with stones like these.

The Succor Creek and Burro Creek pieces really caught my eye and beautifully present their patterns.

Um..... incredible!
All of them, such superb work.

Mystifying is what it is........... Um..... The green plume that was collected in 2015............ I though it over.
I can give up my left pinkie for it.
