Lortone Drop Saw Rehab
« on: June 05, 2018, 08:37:47 PM »

Finally got around to installing new blade shaft and bearings on the LS-14. Also replaced the saw arm bearings. Only took about a year since I got them from Phil for me to get around to it. Now wonder why I waited.

I didn't think the bearings for the saw arm itself would make much difference, but they do. We've used that old saw for seven years now in the same condition as when we bought it. Had never worked on a saw like this before, so I just kept putting it off.

It helped that we got the Frantom 18" recently. I knew if I really screwed up the drop saw I had a backup!
