May be looking for chrysocolla and amythest mix rock
« on: December 16, 2015, 02:03:20 AM »

Depending on price I may be looking for some AZ/NV crysocolla and amythest mixed rock like this...

Let me know if you have any.

Wish I did.  Have to admit to never seeing this combo before.  I'll keep my eyes open for it though, and let you know if I see any.

I know that it comes from the AZ/NV area. I seen someone online that finds it but they wanted more for their rough than their finished cabs of the same material. I only have 1 slab of the stuff left and its mostly crysocholla.

The only thing I've seen that's remotely similar is kaleidoscope agate from this guy:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/KALEIDASCOPE-9-Lbs-Rock-CHRYSOCOLLA-MALACHITE-AZURITE-AMATHYST-SPHERE-/381502927877?hash=item58d358b405:g:GKYAAOSwNyFWfy3m

I bought a piece from him in Quartzsite a few years ago.  The piece I have is quite cracky, but I might have just got a crappy piece.

I'm in AZ.  If I find out where it's at, I'm gonna go dig me some!   :LOLOL:

Just curious if there is any valid  link to the pictures again.  Curious if this is what I recently picked up.  Thanks

Chris Boyd owner of CB Gems from AZ is known as the king of Chrysocolla he does sell rough and probably has the market cornered on gem chrysocolla also known as blue jade.  He has a booth at the GJX show in Tucson every year and is a fair guy to deal with who stands by his products.  His website is www.cbgems.com tell him Adam the opal guy from upstate NY sent you.
good luck
