Last e-cig holder finished with jamesp coral
« on: March 18, 2015, 12:04:11 AM »

I started this holder when I made all the others but never got around to finishing it until now. When I look at it finished I can not see how I put so damn many hours into it. I think the thing that took the most time was an entire afternoon laying out all the holes.

I was going to use jade at first.

I liked the jamesp coral better.

Got all the holes drilled.

Glued the coral to the bottom of the top and let it set up.

Flipped it over and glued the stones then after that set up I glued in the posts.

Cut some green felt to put on the bottom of the holes.

Cut some cork to put on the bottom. Didn't like it and went with some pre cut rounds of felt.

Changed up on the finish and used Formby's Lemon Oil on this one.

I do not have enough stuff to fill it up but I have way more than I need. (much of it given to me by people that have gone back to the cigarettes)

I have sold five of the holders to one store and I have another store lined up to sell a bunch more. That is the main reason I finished this one.

As A project Jim, that is pretty damn fine!!!! Way to go!!
The next one and thereafter will be a breeze now that you have a template for the whole thing. You did make templates as you went along???? Right???? LOL

Thanks for the compliments.

hahaha itsandbits I never make two of something exactly the same. That is one thing I love about rocks, every last one has something different going on in it. Well, except for basalt, I get pretty damn tired of looking at black basalt. It is about as thick as dirt around here and all it is good for is twisting your ankle.
