Hi all! I'm new to the whole forum platform so bare with me if I ding things up a little. Lol
Been hounding for 30+ years off and on but really getting the bug the last 5 or so years and I live in an area now that I know pretty much nothing about as far as what's availible, where to find it or who is local and like minded. If your from the Grant county, primarily Moses Lake area, in WA. I would greatly appreciate any tips on what and where to find some good rocks. Thanks .

Hi and welcome,There has been a bit of small pieces of petrified wood coming out of the streams coming off the Waterville plateau. Small yellow common opal nodules ( hiding in white caliche) at the top of the hill where you go down to the gorge music place. It is in old diatomaceous earth pits  just lying on the surface at the very top of Frenchmans coulee. The opal pits at George ar now off limits. First creek , in the creek, has a bit of jasper some quite nice but small. The rivers that have gravel bars and public access are worth a look and we evn found some very unexpected red listwanite on the east side last week a huge surprise.

Just moved FROM Moses Lake.  Lots of rocks.... everywhere.  Finding the good ones is the hard part.
