Hi everyone just joined this great forum as per the title I live in Australia and have a mad passion for ribbon stone I have put some photos up in the cut slab section of the 3 most unusual pieces I have cut .As my user name reads I am a small time sapphire miner in the Queensland sapphire fields. Why such a passion for that particular rough ? Belive me I like certtain roughs a huge amount also  especially the unusual local ones.

Hi Lithicbeads if you have seen the photo of my freeform cabs you will see that every  piece is different in colour and pattern and  most of it will polish to a great sheen that is my love of the stone you never know what you are going to get. cheers
