I've seen aragonite and calcite-aragonite from New Mexico that looked very similar.

If softer than calcite/aragonite, check out glauberite (of course, there are also pseudomorphs of glauberite and aragonite).

The side crystal looks like a barite rose ( Drill Mud )
17.5 Lbs. per gallon. when mixed too that gravity mass.
