AZ Tiger Eye cabs
« on: September 25, 2018, 10:01:45 AM »

I purchased the rough in person in Tempe last year from TCR gallery. A lot of people stay away from it because it’s too soft and it can be worked with just a little patience and a lot of water.

True, it is soft. I think some are also scared away by the asbestos content of both the Arizona and its California variant, but with a bit of precaution, the results are a stone like nothing else out there (certainly doesn't closely resemble tiger eye to me - much more an ethereal shimmer than the hard flash of tiger eye). Thanks for showing these. You did a great job on your pieces

Gorgeous stones.  Love that first one, especially.   :icon_sunny:

These stones are beautiful.  I mostly shy away from softer TE rough because of all  the mud they make when sanding, etc.  Yet these stones make the work worth while!
