Do not know where it was found or any history.  Yes..it is silicified.  Probably weighs over 700lbs.

 Remember that all types of wood was petrified , half rotten , sodden and flayed from volcanic events as well as relatively normal looking wood. I suspect there will be lots of petrified wood around Mt. Saint Helens eventually that will look like that.I have seen logs and very big stumps just east and south of Seattle that look quite similar to your piece.
