My Latest Cab for Rock and Gem Magazine
« on: September 11, 2018, 10:22:58 AM »

This one is my latest submission for my monthly article for Rock and gem magazine. It is a doublet made from a slab of red jasper and a slice from a large lab grown quartz crystal. These crystals are grown for the electronics industry and on the flat sides they have a botryoidial surface that I used for the top of the doublet. The cab is 2" tall. The result is a really neat pattern.
