That's different Frank, I like it. The hole brings a different feel to the piece. Might have to try something similar.

Do you have a square hole thingamajiggy for your drill, Frank?  If not, how did you do that?  It's very unique and I like it!   :occasion14:

I use hollow brass stock to make the bits.It has been a while since I have made square holes but they will become a regular part of my rotation now.

Is it a vibratory drill? Obviously not the type that turns or you’d still have a round hole even if the bit was square. I’m confused!

 Ultrasonic drills that pounds up and down with sic grit doing the cutting are capable of making virtually any shape hole.

I have been using them for 30 years.They are hard on your body because if you  spend the amount they cost you have to justify the expenditure by drilling and soldering new bits on and drilling.
