Somethings by you don’t see much. I posted a slow mo video of it on my Facebook page. The druzy sparkle is top notch. This piece will go back with me to SDLS and get cut into cabs.

Beautiful druzy!  Hardly ever see natural black druzy.  I'm very jealous!

Very nice find and agree on how hard black is to find in natural.  I hope the base is solid under it so you get good support for the cabs.  Looks like the Black is over a Blue Agate which is pretty.  Grats.

I originally purchased two of these pieces years ago from a vendor had them sitting under his table. I think I paid $15 for them. They are solid under just not the thick fine banding type.

Very interesting. I don’t think I have ever seen any natural black druzy quartz

I was thinking that, too. I've seen and know it exists, but don't recall ever finding for myself. Black quartz on the market these days is mostly irradiated.

More common, Psilomelane or Hematite, both are dirty or inky to cut.

Very cool Tahoma jasper, I feel that would be more rare than what I have.

I agree, Tahoma is formed as rather narrow seam agate and a open area for the drusy to form is unusual.
