Anyone cut this material? Pyrite fossils
« on: July 19, 2017, 11:55:24 AM »

I believe it is a relative new find out of western NY?  It is a pyrite fossil replacement.  I have a few pounds waiting for me on my front porch, but curious if anyone else has cut it yet.

I've never seen it before. Thank you for sharing. It's very, very nice looking. It kind of reminds me of that gray crinoid fossil stone, but smaller and metallic.

I sent you a message a while back and wondered where you got the material from.  I was interested in getting some to do some cabs.  Let me know if it is a vendor or person you can share.  Thanks, Steve

Sorry I missed it I don;t check for messages unless I see something flashing on the forum I am on.  I'll go check now.  I only obtained 3#'s, but can put you in touch with my source.

EDIT I just checked and I didn;t have a PM from you.  Just sent you one.
