WTB Drop saw

Hello, Hope everyone is hanging in there. I am in the market for a drop saw 14” or abouts. If anyone has one I’ll def be interested. Thanks Ed

Couple or three years ago PhilNM had some he'd modified to 16". Long gone, I think.

You could PM Tony ( catmandewe ) and ask if he's seen one lately.

Ok, I’ll see if he still does, maybe I’ll look into build plans as well. Can’t be impossible, I’ve seen Chilly Willy 🐧 do something amazing stuff with what he had in hand 😂

Keep an eye on craigslist in your area too, they do show up used and they seem to have an excellent lifespan.

Shouldn't be too difficult to build one for those with a knack for improvisational engineering.

I remember from a discussion with another member that the pivot point at the crossfeed was about 1/3 of the arm length.
