Plywood for the shop.

Oregon's wood shop is the BEST agatized material. Just add pillow basalt & silica rich water. /  Do not add lime stone to the mix.

their are a few limestone cement pits around.   Not enough to change strata or formations / other then Zeolites, in the coastal range up the road from my place.

500 FT. ash over lay that still shows around western Oregon.

this is the site that U of O got my leaf fossil from that change the dates to 65 million encapsulation of the forest in around  Lebanon, 1996 flood open some ash beds to reveal 6" x 12" leaf fossils intact. An a 50 mile radius or more... clean yard to hunt in.

Very pretty - I like how translucent it is. 65 million years ago would be before the Cascades began to form. Those sound like some monster leaf prints!

Yucatan impact was the most recent encapsulation in Oregon. in school date was a ballpark figure - 48 million - 78 million.
Mr. Orr called me on the dates.Told him 48 -78. his reply was 36 - 38.  ( Guy Rooth & Ewart Baldwin both agreed 48 - 78. U of O / Western State Monmouth,Oregon
Ewart Baldwin Oregon State. This is old news from 1996 )
Bill writes a nice letter. Now the Yucatan impact is 65 million.

Two more impacts most rocks wont talk about. 130 million & 240 million. Oregon on the west side has ash flow from Santiam river / an little north fork.
The 240 Antarctic was hit about 400 mile of South  pole point.

on the Little north fork river mud flow from jawbone flats too the valley floor.

The parks  are full of BACK WOOD, Was agatzied to long ago to ???? about.

The material breaks like opalite on a drop, many  pieces.

Dry Fall State Park. Washington state. Over 70 glacier   strata layers  in the Columbia gorge.  as it looks today the gorge is a very old crack.

  Why Oregon is agate heavy.
