Large Tree in plume agate
« on: April 18, 2022, 06:28:55 PM »

I have not cut a cabochon in a couple months. I had to do this one when I found the slab in my pile of old plume agate material from the Graveyard Point area. Not the best photo but it is good enough to get the image across. From the white plume in the heart surrounded by black dendrites and then flowing out into a golden fir type tree. Better lucky than good.
This is another from my flat cabochons because I want to be able to display this in a pendant that has two sides. Around 70 x 30 x 6 mm... never measured it properly.

That's perfect. You were evidently just waiting for the right one to cut.

I like the second side.

What a great find! This is one of those that I can spend quite some time looking at, studying the form and the colors... Definitely much more than usual black and white of the Graveyard Point material.

I like the "A" side with the touch of blue near the bottom.
